We are delighted to be welcoming Ana's Kusina to the beach for the second of our series of summer feast nights on Baby Bay.
As a proud daughter of both Cornish and Filipino heritage, with deep roots in both Cornwall and the Philippines, Ana's cooking is a heartfelt fusion of cultures where bold Asian flavours meet the freshness of Cornish produce. For this Feast Night Ana is bringing together the soul of Filipino street food and the bounty of the Cornish coast in a vibrant menu designed for sharing, celebrating, and savouring under open skies.
Amongst the delicious dishes you’ll feast on a few that will feature include BBQ Chicken Inasal - succulent, smoky chicken marinated in lemongrass, calamansi, garlic, and annatto butter, grilled over flame just like in the streets of Bacolod. Alongside it, enjoy Ensaladang Talong, a refreshing roasted aubergine, heritage tomatoes, onions, and sharp native vinegar, perfectly cooling and bright. Ana's Kinalaw offers a Filipino twist on ceviche, made with Cornish fish cured in coconut vinegar, coconut milk citrus, chillis and ginger. Light, zingy, and full of coastal freshness.
You will also have the opportunity to tuck into Ana's now famous handcrafted sio mai, delicate dumplings filled with seasoned pork, prawn and aromatics, steamed and served with her very own handcrafted shrimp garlic chilli oil.
This feast is more than a meal. It’s a celebration of Ana's Filipino-Cornish roots, and an invitation to gather, share stories, and enjoy food made with heart, sunshine, and soul.
